Brussels. Spektrum-nasional.com || Memperingati 45 tahun kemitraan ASEAN dan Uni Eropa (UE), Presiden Joko Widodo mendorong kemitraan kedua belah pihak harus didasarkan pada prinsip kesetaraan. Demikian disampaikan Presiden Jokowi saat menyampaikan pidatonya pada acara pembukaan KTT Peringatan 45 Tahun ASEAN-Uni Eropa di Justus Lipsius Atrium, Brussels, 14 Desember 2022. Sebagai Ketua ASEAN 2023, Presiden Jokowi merupakan satu dari enam pemimpin yang diminta sampaikan pandangan di acara pembukaan.
"Jika kita ingin membangun sebuah kemitraan yang baik, maka kemitraan harus didasarkan pada kesetaraan, tidak boleh ada pemaksaan. Tidak boleh lagi ada pihak yang selalu mendikte dan beranggapan bahwa my standard is better than yours,” kata Presiden Jokowi.
