Canberra.Spektrum-nasional.com | Wakil Menteri Dalam Negeri (Wamendagri) John Wempi Wetipo mendampingi Menteri Pertahanan (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto ketika melakukan kunjungan kerja (kunker) ke Australia dan Papua New Guinea (PNG).
Menhan Prabowo Subianto tiba di Pangkalan Angkatan Udara RAAF Base Fairbairn Canberra pada Senin (19/08/24) pukul 19.04 waktu setempat.
Wempi menyambut kedatangan Prabowo di Hyatt Hotel Canberra. Selain Wempi, Ketua Komisi I DPR Meutya Hafid dan Direktur Jenderal (Dirjen) Strahan Kemhan Mayjen TNI Ujang Darwis, dan sejumlah pejabat Kedutaan Besar Republik Indonesia (KBRI) di Canberra lainnya juga turut menyambut kedatangan Prabowo di hotel tersebut.
Sebelumnya, saat tiba di Pangkalan Angkatan Udara RAAF Base Fairbairn Canberra Prabowo disambut sejumlah pejabat pemerintah Australia diantaranya; Minister for Defence Industry and Capability Australia Pat Conroy MP dan Chief of the Defence Force Admiral David Johnston.
Tak hanya itu, turut menyambut Duta Besar (Dubes) Australia untuk Indonesia Penny Williams, Dubes Indonesia untuk Australia Siswo Pramono, Athan Australia di Jakarta BG Matt Campbell, dan Athan RI di Canberra Laksma TNI Yusliandi Ginting beserta jajaran.
Selama kunker ini, Menhan Prabowo dijadwalkan bertemu dengan Perdana Menteri Australia Anthony Albanese, serta Wakil Perdana Menteri dan Menteri Pertahanan Richard Marles. Adapun kunker Prabowo ke PNG dijadwalkan akan berlangsung keesokan harinya setelah dari Australia. (Lison/SN).
