Surakarta. Spektrum-nasional.com || Presiden Joko Widodo menerima kedatangan Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, putra dari Presiden Persatuan Emirat Arab (PEA) Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ). Keduanya bertemu di Masjid Raya Sheikh Zayed, Kota Surakarta, pada Minggu, 11 Desember 2022.
Kedatangan Sheikh Khalid MBZ ke Indonesia adalah untuk mewakili ayahnya menghadiri resepsi atau syukuran pernikahan putra bungsu Presiden Jokowi, Kaesang Pangarep, dengan Erina Gudono. Acara resepsi pernikahan tersebut digelar di Pura Mangkunegaran, Kota Surakarta.
Saat tiba di Masjid Raya Sheikh Zayed, Sheikh Khalid MBZ langsung disambut oleh Presiden Joko Widodo. Sheikh Khalid MBZ tampak didampingi oleh Menteri Energi PEA, Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei.
Sementara itu, Presiden Jokowi didampingi oleh Menteri Koordinator Bidang Kemaritiman dan Investasi Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan dan Wali Kota Surakarta Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
Presiden Jokowi dan Sheikh Khalid MBZ kemudian masuk ke dalam masjid dan melihat arsitektur serta desain interior masjid tersebut. Keduanya juga tampak berbincang dengan hangat dan akrab hingga pertemuan keduanya selesai.
