SPEKTRUMNASIONAL.COM || Presiden Joko Widodo memfokuskan kerja sama ekonomi antara ASEAN dan Republik Korea (RoK) penting untuk diarahkan untuk membangun ekonomi kawasan yang lebih resilien dan hijau. Demikian disampaikan Presiden Jokowi saat berbicara pada KTT ASEAN - RoK ke-23 di Hotel Sokha, Phnom Penh, Jumat, 11 November 2022.
“Republik Korea punya pengalaman dalam pengembangan teknologi hijau dan bersih. Ini adalah peluang bagi kita untuk menjalin kemitraan yang konkret, terutama dalam energi terbarukan, pembangunan smart city, ekosistem mobil listrik, serta sistem penyediaan air bersih,” ucap Presiden Jokowi dalam KTT yang dihadiri pemimpin ASEAN dan Presiden Republik Korea Yoon Seok-yeol.
Menurut Presiden, pembangunan hijau dan berkelanjutan menjadi kunci masa depan ASEAN. Pada tahun 2025, ASEAN menargetkan 23% energi terbarukan dan 20% kendaraan berbahan bakar listrik.
“ASEAN juga berkomitmen mengembangkan smart cities dan kota yang berkelanjutan,” ungkap Presiden Jokowi.
Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Presiden Jokowi juga menggunakan kesempatannya untuk mengundang Republik Korea menjadi mitra dalam membangun Ibu Kota Nusantara melalui investasi, maupun alih teknologi.
Selain kerja sama ekonomi hijau, Presiden Jokowi juga menekankan pentingnya stabilitas kawasan Indo-Pasifik. Menurut Presiden, segala bentuk perbedaan dan rivalitas harus dikelola dengan baik.
“ASEAN-RoK harus dapat menjadi mesin utama perdamaian di kawasan,” ujar Presiden Jokowi.
Di awal pengantarnya, Presiden Jokowi mengucapkan selamat datang bagi Presiden Yoon di keluarga besar ASEAN dan juga menyampaikan duka cita atas korban jiwa dan luka-luka dari peristiwa di Seoul, 30 Oktober lalu.
Turut hadir mendampingi Presiden Jokowi dalam KTT ASEAN – RoK ke-23 yaitu Menteri Koordinator Bidang Politik, Hukum, dan Keamanan Mahfud MD, Menteri Koordinator Bidang Perekonomian Airlangga Hartarto, Menteri Luar Negeri Retno Marsudi, dan Menteri Sekretaris Negara Pratikno.
