Bandung. Spektrum-nasional.com || Gempa bumi berkekuatan 6.4 SR terjadi di Kabupaten Garut, Jawa Barat, Sabtu (3/12/2022) sore sekitar Pukul 16.49 WIB.
Pasca gempa, tersebar sebuah video yang menggambarkan kerusakan sejumlah rumah dan korban luka-luka.
Polres Garut mengklarifikasi informasi tersebut adalah berita yang Tidakbenar atau Hoax. Dari hasil penelusuran, video tersebut sudah disebarkan beberapa waktu ke belakang dan bukan terjadi hari ini.
Setelah diselidiki pengunggah video tersebut adalah pemilik akun TikTok @gr4g33. Dalam postingannya video itu diposting tiga hari yang lalu.
Selain video yang diunggah pemilik akun TikTok @gr4g33, ada juga dua video hoaks lainnya tersebar dan mengatakan jika video tersebut adalah dampak dari gempa bumi Garut.
Polres Garut dalam klarifikasinya mengatakan, jika video-video yang beredar tesebut adalah hoaks atau tidak benar.
Kabid Humas Polda Jabar Kombes Pol Ibrahim Tompo S.I.K. M.Si dalam siaran Pers mengimbau kepada masyarakat Jawa Barat agar bijak dalam menggunakan media sosial, apalagi menyikapi informasi bencana yang tersebar di media sosial, Minggu, (4/12/2022).
