JAKARTA. SPEKTRUMNASIONAL.COM || Bintang Tim Nasional (Timnas) Indonesia Asnawi Mangkualam punya target selangit di Piala Asia 2023. Bek klub K-League 2 Ansan Greeners itu ingin mempersembahkan prestasi tertinggi kepada negara dan menaikkan posisi Merah Putih di ranking FIFA.
Timnas Indonesia mengamankan satu tiket putaran final Piala Asia 2023 setelah menjadi runner-up terbaik di babak kualifikasi. Lolosnya skuad Garuda ke Piala Asia 2023 menjadi prestasi tersendiri lantaran Indonesia merasakan tampil di ajang tersebut terjadi pada 15 tahun yang lalu, atau pada 2007 sebagai tuan rumah.
Event tersebut bakal digelar pada 16 Juni hingga 16 Juli 2023. Asnawi menyatakan memiliki tujuan dalam ajang tersebut. Dia ingin membawa negaranya mendapatkan prestasi bagus di sana.
"Tujuannya saya sebagai pemain timnas Indonesia tentunya memberikan prestasi yang baik buat timnas Indonesia, pertama kita ada turnamen paling dekat di Piala Asia 2023," kata Asnawi dilansir dari YouTube K-League, Sabtu (22/10/2022).
Tampil di ajang tersebut membuat Asnawi ingin memperbaiki ranking Timnas Indonesia agar lebih baik lagi. "Tentunya kita ingin memberikan kontribusi dan memberikan prestasi, kita bukan hanya masuk ke dalam turnamen.
Tapi juga bisa mendapatkan prestasi dan menaikkan ranking FIFA timnas Indonesia yang saat ini berada di bawah," jelasnya.
Saat ini, Timnas Indonesia berada di peringkat ke-152 rangking FIFA. Posisi tersebut bisa saja berubah, jika Skuad Garuda bisa mendapatkan kemenangan di setiap pertandingan.
