Spektrum-nasional.com || Presiden Joko Widodo membuka Pertemuan Para Pemimpin ASEAN dengan Perwakilan dari ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) pada Rabu, 10 Mei 2023 di Meruorah Convention Center, Labuan Bajo, Kabupaten Manggarai Barat, Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT). Pertemuan tersebut merupakan pertemuan keempat yang dipimpin oleh Presiden dalam rangkaian Konferensi Tingkat Tinggi (KTT) ke-42 ASEAN.
Pada pertemuan tersebut, Presiden mengucapkan syukur karena ASEAN telah mampu menghadapi pandemi Covid-19. Presiden mengatakan, pencapaian tersebut merupakan hasil kolaborasi dan kerja sama dari seluruh sektor, termasuk dunia usaha.
“Ini berkat kolaborasi, berkat kerja sama, dan sinergi antara pemerintah dan dunia usaha,” ujar Presiden.
Meski demikian, Presiden mengingatkan bahwa tantangan ke depan masih sangat berat dengan risiko geopolitik yang masih besar serta lembaga keuangan di beberapa negara yang berjatuhan. Untuk itu, Presiden mendorong seluruh pihak untuk makin memperkuat kolaborasi untuk menjaga ASEAN sebagai pusat pertumbuhan.
“Potensi ekonomi kawasan kita sangat besar, ekonomi yang tumbuh di atas rerata dunia, bonus demografi, kemudian middle class yang terus meningkat 65 persen pada tahun 2030,” katanya.
“Mari bergandengan erat menyusun agenda bersama untuk memastikan kawasan ini terus menjadi epicentrum of growth,” lanjutnya.
Turut mendampingi Presiden dalam pertemuan tersebut yaitu Menteri Koordinator Bidang Perekonomian Airlangga Hartanto, Menteri Luar Negeri Retno Marsudi, dan Menteri Sekretaris Negara Pratikno.
